There are some stamps that are just so lovely and so versatile that you know you will use them over and over again.

This is so true for me with this beauty of a stamp by Penny black called "Skyward". Simply stamped in Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge ink using first and second generation stamping, so that with a little imagination you get a hint of the impression of the sun shining through the branches!

The sentiment is from the Penny Black Yuletide Wishes sentiment stamp set.

I shall be entering this card for this week's Less Is More One Layer challenge called "Outlines".

Christmas Penny Black Skyward 1

The second card could not be more different even though I have used the same stamp. A real wintry feel to this one, by using the heat embossed resist technique and sponging with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass ink.

  Christmas snowflake card 2

I've added some die cut snowflakes using the Penny Black snowflake duo and simply added a button and some silver cord to finish.

  Christmas snowflake card 3a

All the stamps I've used and the snowflake die are from the Foiled Fox, so do pop over and check out their fab online store and blog.

Thank you as ever for taking time out of your day to come and visit me. I will be back soon x

Absolutely beautiful designs Sarita and I can understand why that stamp is one of your favourites - gorgeous wintery scene in both cards and brilliant take on our challenge at Less is More. Thanks for playing along with us. Sarah x

Two wonderful designs, Sarita. Your first simply stamped is just gorgeous with the second generation stamping, and I also love blue and white for Christmas cards so love your second card too.
Thanks so much for sharing with us.

I love the simplicity of this card and seeing it made with a different color makes it look like a different stamp altogether.

What super cards, Sarita! I love the tall narrow shape of the first one and the striking colour of the branches. The second one is perfectly wintry and looks so different to the first one! Very creative! Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More :)
