Emboss resist technique...

Every time I think I've made the last autumn card for this year, another idea pops into my head.

The challenge over at Less Is More is to use the emboss resist technique, a technique I really love but haven't done for some time.

I've used the lovely delicate twiggy branch by Inkylicious, heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Autumn 3a

I then sponged Tim Holtz distress inks in Victorian Velvet, a lovely dusky pink colour, and Wild Honey, just down one side of the card to keep it CAS. I also overstamped the branch in both colours on top of the white embossing to add to the effect.

  Autumn 1a

It was a last minute decision to add to the little deer, by Impression Obsession, a perfect excuse to use them.

  Autumn 1b

A really beautiful stamp and I love these two colours together.

Have a great weekend, thank you for stopping by!

WOW! This is simply stunning Sarita. Love the die cut deer, they really pop on the card.

This would also make a lovely Christmas card with a change of sentiment.

This is so gorgeous Sarita! The layout is really striking and I adore the colours you've chosen! I wouldn't have thought to pair those two inks, but I'll definitely keep them in mind for future because the result is so pretty and vibrant. The branch stamp is beautifully delicate and goes perfectly with the font of the sentiment and the two deer. Really lovely work! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

This is wonderful, Sarita, and I very nearly used the exact same branch stamp for my card! Those colours work beautifully together and the deer silhouettes were a great addition.
Thanks for sharing with us.

You've done it again Sarita! Another complete knockout card. The background inking is so dreamy and your deer is the perfect thing to add to complement the twiggy branches. I loved them when you made the Halloween card, and I love them even more after seeing this stunner! Thanks so much for joining us at Less is More xx

Saw this on LIM winners FB and loved it. What a great idea, those trees could have any colour in the background and it would work just as well. A well deserved win. :)
