I know it's been a while since my last post. The main reason is that just before Easter I lost a very dear Uncle. There are so many adjectives I could use to descibe my Uncle, Chris, but if I had to choose just a few they would be caring, intelligent, hugely talented and very funny. It is to him I owe the tiny bit of creativity I have in my blood. He was such a fantastic artist, and musician too, and made beautiful objects out of wood, from grandfather clocks to carvings. In short he was amazing and a true inspiration.
And so I have found it very hard to find motivation to craft, but I know Chris would want me to carry on, so I have had an attempt this morning.
This week's challenge over at Less Is More is a one layer challenge called "doodling". Well doodling is probably what I love best and have many examples of my doodling in previous blog posts. Anyway this is what I have come up with this morning...
I dusted some pink Pan Pastel to create a soft background and then doodled in black ink straight onto the cardstock. No drawing in pencil first, I just let my pen go where it wanted to and this was the result.
Well, it's a start and I hope to do more crafting as I feel able.
God bless Chris, I will miss you.

God bless you, dear, to find comfort in Him! I'm sure your uncle was proud of you. Nothing will replace him but he will always be in your thoughts and your art works! Beautiful card!
Condolences for your uncle Sarita and I think you are so right in your assumption that he would want you to continue to exploit your talent... which you have in spades.
Your pen certainly knows where to go!
Super job Sarita.
Thanks so much

Sarita, I am so sorry to hear about the death of your dear Uncle Chris, I lost my wonderful mum this time last year and it is true what they say, that time helps you to heal, but you never forget. One day you will be able to think of him without all the sadness that you are experiencing right now, but with joy in your heart that you were blessed to share your life with such a wonderful man.
Your doodling is beautiful, well fab, just wish I could draw as well as you do. Your Uncle would be proud of you.

Such a charming card... cannot believe that you drew straight on to the paper... Chris would have been happy for you to keep going with your creative genes that you inherited from him... I do think that craft is healing so please keep turning out those beauties.
It is not easy to get over a loved one - keep crafting and keep going,
