A kaleidoscope of butterflies...

Just a quick post to show you a card I made using the lovely Hero Arts Antique Engravings butterfly stamps.

The grasses are hand drawn direct onto SU's Sahara Sand cadstcock. I've used Prismacolor pencils in Tuscan Red and Black Raspberry, and then just added some white highlights to the tips of the grasses.

It's been a long time since I've used butterflies in my crafting. I prefer lifelike drawings of butterflies as opposed to stylised drawings, I think these are just perfect.

Right, gotta dash...thank you to everyone for your lovely comments about my stamp in my last post, they mean a lot to me.

So might grasses be your next stamp? Your card is a classic and I think the white you have used really adds dimension so perhaps you would need to make two stamps - one for the colour and one to overlay with the white. I, too, am a fan of "real" looking butterflies rather than stylised ones and these are perfect, Sarita! Such a pretty card! Hugs, Lesley
