Creating a background with my new stamp...

Firstly can I say a huge thank you to everyone who left comments and sent me e-mails about my last post. I have been quite overwhelmed by the lovely things you've said about my l'il stamp.

I wanted to show that my stamp design can be used for backgrounds as well as a stand alone design. Here I stamped it up in lilac and beige ink onto a panel of white card.

L2

I over stamped the background design with the Hero Arts sentiment and frame stamp "to someone special".

DH asked what I'm going to call my stamp...you know it hadn't even occured to me! He has already named it "Summer Burst". I really like the name, although it isn't a seasonal stamp, but then does it really matter? I will have to have a think about it!

L1

So many of you have asked when I'm going to sell my stamp which is such a huge compliment and I feel awful for not being in a position to sell at this moment in time. I think in all honesty I need a few more designs than I've got at the moment, I've currently only got a handful, so I will continue to do my little sketches and get my own stamps made up, and then showcase them on my blog.

I have now really got the bug for rubber stamp designing and your lovely comments definitely inspire me to do more!

Oh Sarita, I sooooooo have to have this stamp, you showcase it beautifully. I spent at least 2 hrs looking at your blog yesterday, your creations and stamps you have designed are amazing, you are so talented, I cannot believe you draw them straight onto the card, that is some amount of work, the recipients are so lucky. Anyway, please persue this as your designs really are stunning!!! Oh and put my name down for this stamp when you are ready to go into production, I just have to have it.x

Oh please do Sarita!. I don`t know the first thing about selling stamps but I`m sure even the biggest designers started small. You could start a cottage industry and see how it goes. I love your hubby`s name for this stamp,I`ll bet he`s as proud as punch for you aswell.

Hi Hunny, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, so many stunning uses for this stamp!
I have an idea, What about seeing how many people want to buy your Summer Burst stamp and then asking your stamp supplier how much it would be to make (x) amount of stamps. Let us know how each one would cost and then will can again put our name down and pay you for the stamp. Tadaaa, then I will be a very very happy bunny and get m,y hands on your goorgeous stamp!

Just an idea lol

This stamo is wonderful as a focal point or a background Sarita and you should be so proud of yourself! So many people would like one, have you thought about e-bay and linking it from your blog? Just thinking that that would probably not involve too much work and would get you some established customers who just can't wait to get their hands on it! Congrats again, Tracey x

Works just as well as a baackground stamp doesn't it Sarita. Remember the saying - "from little acorns, mighty oaks will grow" (or something like that LOL) you never know where things may lead.

From a little acorn a mighty oak grows...... You have to start somewhere and better start small then grow with your portfolio than not at all. your stamps are beautiful. I can't wait to get my hands on them. Put my name on your list pretty please. :)

Paula Gale said...

WOW - you really showed what it can do with this card... You should be soooo proud. I really hope that you can get the ball rolling before too long because I see a very bright future for you - especially if you put your other designs you did into production... is it worth approaching a big name in stamps to produce or buy the designs, or is it something you want to so yourself? I really wish you every success in this venture and remember you only get one chance in this life - so follow your dreams, believe in yourself, and have no regrets.
