A bit of vintage...

It's ages since I've done anything remotely vintage, and when I set out making this card I wasn't particularly intending to do vintage..it just kinda happened!

I used SU's Kraft card as the base. Once I had embossed the card I used Tim Holtz Aged Mahogony ink to distress it.

The oval was made using the resist technique, stamping a damask design in Versamark and then brayering it with Adirondack ink in Woodlands. I just added a bit of ribbon and a Papermania DIY brad to finish.

I loved getting my distress inks out again, I think I've OD'd on black ink cards recently, it has made a change to break away from my usual style!

Delish, Sarita! Just love it. Is it a DL size card and if so how did you emboss it all without getting a line from the embossing folder?

Beautiful card Sarita - the gorgeous oval reminds me of a Victorian cameo pendant, and the embossed background sets it off perfectly.

this is gorgeous Sarita - but we don't mind the blank ink cards at all... infact, personally, I can't get enough of them...
