Something a bit different...

...for me that is...an aperture card...I have made aperture cards in the past but I don't think I've ever posted one on my blog.

Quite a simple card really although a little time consuming...hopefully you can just make out that I've embossed a circle with my Nesties inside the card....this was the longest part....lining up the embossed inside circle with the aperture.

In the end for the inside of the card I embossed a circle on a separate sheet of card, stamped the lovely background circle by Elusive Images, assembled it in line with the aperture and stuck it to the inside of the card. I'm thinking next time I'll just stamp the circle and be done with it!

The beautiful leafy flourish is by Clarity Stamps. It actually wasn't too bad to cut out. I just added some Glossy Accents on the leaves to make them stand out a bit.

Well I've had a very relaxing weekend...we went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D yesterday...it just took my breath away, the special effects were so amazing, a real feast for the eyes...and that's just Johnny Depp!

But back to reality...got the Sunday chores to do tomorrow...see you again soon.

Gorgeous! Do I say that everytime??! You have such a talent for elegance...really!

I haven't seen Alice yet, but do hope to. There's been such creativity in blogland showing up in celebration of her. I've loved seeing so much inspiration at work.

Glad you've had a nice weekend, so far. I so wish I had Mary Poppins on speed dial........wouldn't it just be wonderful to be able to sing a song and have all the chores done?! More time then for creating and being inspired, right?! :>

I love the colours on this one Sarita. I have those EI stamps, they're really under used, I like what you've done with the circle. Can't wait to go and see Alice in Wonderland, all for Johnny of course, we tried to pre-book locally this weekend, and it was full, no surprise. Will try next weekend, it will be worth the wait, Judith x

Beautiful card, Sarita. I love how you've used the Clarity stamp. I've seen Barbara demonstrating with this on C&C using the resist technique, but I really like how you've cut out it and used it around the aperture.I've got this stamp on my wish list when I go to the NEC in a few weeks.x
