Playing with fireworks...

...not the real thing of course...it's the name of this set of stamps by Banana Frog.

I found these among my stash as I was looking for some other stamps...unused since I bought them at least 5 years ago...how many times have I said the same thing now on my blog?? I'm really bad for buying stamps and then some must-have new stamps come along and the older ones get forgotten. Something tells me though I am not the person guilty of this l'il crafting crime lol.

I must admit I love this colour green...the cardstock is SU's "Certainly Celery", and the ribbon is by Hobbycraft.

I honestly didn't think I was going to get anything made for my blog this week...I like to try and post at least once a week...but as I mentioned in my previous post, life is hectic...it's good as I feel so well and so much healthier than I have done in years after feeling rubbish for so long...but now I want to do so many other things that I've had to put on hold because of ill health...I think it will be a case of a simple and quick creation like this one when time is short, then when I have time off work I can spend more time creating something, well, hopefully a bit more special.

Well, enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing :)

Beautiful card, simple yet elegant. I love the different ink colors you used and the gems on the inside of the fire work bursts. Happy that your health has improved, hope that that continues for you. Blessings, jane

Hi Sarita!! I'm glad you are feeling better!! And I so now how easy it is to get crunched for time. But, there's nothing wrong with enjoying a clean and simple card!! I think this is perfect!!! :> And yes, old stamps are delightful, aren't they??!! I can never bring myself to get rid of my old stamps and so they come out to play probably just as much as my new ones! Hope your weekend is (or has gone) well!:>

Simply stunning. I sometimes think that simplicity is the best as looking through a lot of the blogs and cards, they are getting very "samey" with ribbon, button, bows and frills, I much prefer "clean and fresh looking" cards and this illustrates how stunningly elegant they can be. Gorgeous, gorgeous card.xxx

I'm so glad you health has improved Sarita - may it continue to do so. Love this card, the new SU sentiment goes so well with it too you wouldn't know it was from a different set. Really lovely effective card. I too am one for stamps that have not seen ink - hopefully that will change when the MBA finishes - soon....

I think it's fun to get 'old' stash out every now and then and use it, especially if you're making something as yummy as this!

Glad you're finding the time and the energy to do other things now too, that's so lovely to read, hope you get to do more and more each week
