Slowly improving...

The road to recovery is proving to be very rocky...things were going well last weekend but then I quickly went downhill again during the week. Today though is a better day...very frustrating that there is no consistency, but all I can do is take one day at a time.

I made this card last weekend, when I was playing with my new Quickutz Letterpress.

I think there is definitely a knack to using the Letterpress, and I feel I am now getting the hang of it. The damask design took seconds to print and has actually debossed the cardstock as it is supposed to.

As stated in my last post, I found some lovely thick soft pastel colour card from Craftwork Cards which works perfectly with it...it's nice to be able to use other colour cardstock apart from the white card that comes with the Letterpress.

I know there has been some mixed reaction to this new crafting gadget, but I am really glad I bought it now and persevered.

I know my cards are very simple at the moment...I think my creativity has taken a bit of a blow because of being ill...I'm definitely not on top form at the moment but my health is improving, albeit not as quickly as I would like...bear with me, I will get there!

Sarita, I think your cards look as gorgeous as ever!! I googled the letterpress and saw some demos- all I can say is, you're far more patient than me!!!!! I'd be going nuts as it looks like a lot of hard work and I'm too impatient. Having said that, I can see from your creations that the results are stunning!! I love how you always inspire me with new gadgets as well as techniques!!! Hope you're on the mend and are feeling a bit better soon xxx

Hi Sarita - I have been a frequent visitor to your blog since I came across the lovely Nela. I followed a link over to you and was really impressed by your beautiful cards and projects.

I've also recently read that you've been unwell and am really sorry to hear that - I hope that the set back you've had this week soon rights itself.

I've also read with interest recently your trials with the letterpress and am grateful for you for bringing us such honest feedback and findings from your use of it. However, I'm glad that you persevered with it and found a solution to the hiccups you were having and want to add that this card you have created with it is absolutely stunning - while you think its simple - I think that it is perfect and didn't need any more... you've done a great job and I can see where it will enhance your already great creations.

Hope you keep on picking up.

Hi Sarita

beautiful card - don't be hard on yourself!
As to your recovery - speaking from experience it helped me to think of it like a graph with the line going up and down, sure it goes down but each up is probably a little higher than the last one. hope this makes sense and is comforting I know it helped me to realise there was an "up" coming - you just don't know when.

I glad to hear that you are feeling better, once in a while anyway. You can't do much but let it take its time. Frustrating, I know!

Nice to see that you have come to make friends with your letterpress. You were not so happy with it a while back ;o)

Take care no!

Hi Sarita

So sorry that things are so up and down for you.

You probably do as I do when I am not well and the first sign of improvement you do too much to try and make up for lost time. Chill and take it easy as much as you can.

Your card is wonderful and the ribbon/bow is gorgeous.

Have a good weekend.

Love Jules xx

Hi Sarita
Firstly, sorry you've not been well, I did wonder if there was some underlying problem as you didn't seem to be picking up too quickly from the various virus you have had over the last few months but this was a shock! Hope you're beginning to feel a bit better. I've just been diagnosed with Fibromalgia which is affecting all m muscles and joints so know just how it is to feel off it for so long. It really hasn't affected your ability to produce amazing work though. Been looking at the letterpress ou recomend it?
Take care and be kind to ourself
x Michelle
