Pop Stems

Well I hope you've all been creatively reflecting lol...DH does come out with some gems sometimes...but I do get his point about not getting frustrated when you can't think of ideas by taking time out to relax and reflect.

It must be working coz this card kinda came out of nowhere. I bought this fab stamp recently by Hero Arts called "Pop Stems", and I have had a little play...here is the result.

I used SU cardstock in rose red and stamped it with a white pigment ink pad. The only thing is the white didn't show up to well so I went over it with a Sakura white souffle pen.

A little SU sentiment, some ribbon and buttons and, voila, card done. It was really easy to make.

Well it's back to the grindstone for me next week. Despite feeling rough with some nasty virus, and losing my mojo, I have still found time to enjoy a bit of crafting.

And as for the missing nestie...it still hasn't materialised...and just a message to a lovely lady called Fiona who regularly leaves me lovely comments on my blog but I don't think has her own yet...my craft room now looks nothing like the tidy and organised room that was portrayed in my photos a few weeks ago Fiona...soz to spoil the illusion that I am a tidy crafter...but you see those photos were taken before I had had chance to use it...in my craft room I am the Tazmanian devil and it is now, well, what I can only describe as crafting carnage...and even though I can see all my stash on my lovely new units I am constantly losing things...and why is it that despite the extra large worktop I still only end up with about 2" square to work on?? I can't belive the amount stuff I get out to make one card!

Perhaps I shouldn't have owned up lol.

The way you've used the stamp as a border is fabulous Sarita. Love the combo. of white ink on the delicious pink card. Understated elegance at it's best!
Great story about your lovely craft room - doesn't matter how big the desk is, it's never big enough.
Glad you're feeling better now. Hugs, Sylvia xx

Fantastic card Sarita, that's a gorgeous stamp and I love the effect of white ink on dark card, just wish I could find one that showed up white :D. ROFL re Tazmanian Devil and Crafting Carnage...I honestly think if I had the whole house as my work space I would still only have six inches to work in :). Enjoy your Sunday and hope you feel better very soon. Chris xx

That's a lovely card Sarita and, yes, I have that stamp too!! I haven't used it though yet, but the effect is gorgeous so I might have to soon. I love to emboss with white powder on coloured card (I'm too wobbly to cope with the white pen)!

Beautiful Dramatic Card.

Like your Husbands Description for no mojo. I think I'll have to use that in future.

As for my Craft Room Tip, I think we must all be the same. I like to call it 'Creative Chaos' and despite the awol nestie I bet you know where everything is .... or say you do if asked lol!

Beautiful card, the white looks stunning against the red card, you must have a very steady hand to go over the stamp with the souffle pen.

mmmm mmmmmmmmmmm! This is so very lovely, I do lurve pink and black together.

Do you know I've had a circle nestie missing in action for about 3 months now, I'm convinced it dropped itself in the bin but I know if I spend the money and buy some more the bloomin thing will turn up out of nowhere.

Please keep finding time to craft, I love visiting your blog

I love this Sarita, it's so pretty. The card colour is gorgeous and the stamp is lovely and very striking in white. Thanks for the message, how reassuring to hear you are an untidy crafter after all! I am always losing things on my desk but so far they have always turned up, either under piles of paper, on the floor or on the cat!
Hope to have a blog v. soon.

Hi Sarita.
Just been catching up with the wonderful work you've been doing while I've been away. Totally stunning. I wish I could create such beautiful things when mojoless!. Been on a real downer lately and havn't produced anything despite carting a ton of crafting stuff to Scotland with me - hopeless.
Still tomorrow's another day.........

Really pretty card, will have to keep my eye out for that stamp! But the best was your description of your crafting style and your craft room. I never knew that it had a name! That's it ~ I'm the Tazmanian Devil of crafters! I'll have to remember that the next time some one (DH) comments on the state of my craft room. Hey, I've even got some Taz stamps, come to think of it! Wonder if I can find 'em???? :-)

Oh wow, this is absolutely stunning!! The white really stands out against the dark pink and I love this stamp, it's really pretty!
Your mojo is definitely back! :)
