Playing with border stamps

What a week I've had...after only one week in my new job I came down with a horrendous gastric bug...I was violently ill for about 3 days with a very high temperature, I even passed out as well... I had other symptoms too horrible to mention lol...I just can't remember being so ill for a long time.

I still feel very weak but I am now on the mend. I just cannot believe the timing, but luckily people at work have been very understanding.

Anyway, here is a card I made a while ago for my lovely bloggy buddy Kim for her birthday. I am always so in awe of Kim's creations and if you have never seen her work, you must go take a look.

I have quite a lot of border stamps but have never really used them, so I wanted to have a go and this was what I came up with. This border stamp sets is by Impression Obsession and is one of my favourites.

Well, I hope you are all OK and don't come down with what I've had!

Apologies as well for not getting round to visit everyone last week, but what with work and then being ill time just ran out! I will try to make up for it this weekend.

Hi Sarita - sorry to hear you have been ill.

Illness and a new job just don't go together do they!!! It all sounds a bit horrendous.

The card you have posted is wonderful. I would never have put those colours together and yet they go perfectly.

That is why all this blog hopping is so good. It teaches and inspires all the time.

I hope you have a better week this week.

Take care - love Jules xx

Hi Sarita, I'm so sorry you've been so ill, you poor thing, glad that you're on the mend and hope you try and take it a bit easy for a few days to recover properly. I think it's often the case that when you change your job you come into contact with a new atmosphere and tend to pick things up, also with all the pressure of learning new stuff I'm sure the immune system takes a battering. Good that they've been ok about it at work, these things happen. Your card is fabby and very chic, I bet Kim loved it. The colours are gorgeous and I love the border stamp you used, you've made it a real statement. Take care of yourself Sweetie and don't worry about the blogging, getting well is more important. Hugs, Chris xxx
