Colour Create Challenge # 11

Phew, I am absolutely exhausted after my first week at my new job...it's going OK but there is so much to learn....and I ain't getting any younger!

Well we have a fab challenge on Colour Create. This week's colours have been chosen by my very talented DT bloggy buddy Chris.....They are black and pink with the extra option of polka dots.
Here is my card:

I've had this shoe stamp for ages but had never really found a use for it...but when I saw in lurking in amongst my stamps the other day I thought it was perfect for the polka dot theme.

The only thing was that I didn't have any appropriate sentiment so I generated my own on the computer using the famous Bette Midler quote.

Do take a look at Chris' fab blog, she uses such a wide variety of techniques and all of her creations are just stunning.

And of course do check out the amazing creations of the rest of the DT team, they are all as wonderful as ever.

  • Shoe stamp: B Line Designs "Dotted Heel" from www.lbcrafts.co.uk
  • Background stamp: Laura Ashley

Delicious card Sarita, thank you for the lovely comments in your post sweetheart, you're the best! Sounds like you've had a hard week in the new job, it's always a nightmare the first month in a new one, you feel like your head is going to explode with all the new stuff to learn, I hope it all settles very soon and you get to the comfort zone very quickly. I don't think you could have found a more perfect stamp for the challenge, I love it and the sentiment is brilliant with it, I used to have quite a bad shoe habit and can empathise with this totally LOL! It's such a fun card but elegant too and any girl of any age would love to receive it. Super fab photo again too. Hope you're having a relaxing weekend. Hugs, Chris xxx

Beautiful card, the sentiment made me giggle - I'm so pregnant no flippin shoes fit me at the moment (and that's why we have Birkinstocks!)

glad new job going well.

Congratulations on the glut of awards... all totally deserved. Your card for Colour Create this week is stupendous as usual. I love all the flourishy stamps you have. I never seem to spot any half as nice for sale online or anywhere else for that matter. Hope the new job gets a little less tiring as time passes.

Hi Sarita

My heart goes out to you. I hate starting a new job and feeling like I don't know anything worth knowing(not hard for me). It settles down eventually but it is a case of working through the "pain barrier".

Your creation is brilliant - as always. What a fantastic image!!

Take care and good luck with everything.

Love Jules xx

Hi again Sarita. I hope you're feeling a lot better now and getting your strength back? I just wanted you to know that I kind of cased your beautiful shoe card and I hope that's ok? Different image and arrangement but the same sentiment (which I think is fabby) and general idea with the shoe. I've linked to your fantastic card so that everyone can see where I got my inspiration.
