Seizing an opportunity...

Hope you aren't too snowed where you are.....we had a fair amount of snow here in Kent earlier this week, so hubby and I decided to take Monday off as our journeys to work are quite long and would have been treacherous had we attempted it... (it's OK no sickies were pulled I promise boss just in case you're reading this lol)......anyway we thought both our cars and ourselves would be much safer if we didn't venture out....

Well what happened next was quite incredible....as we sat eating our toast looking out at the snow falling, a car passed, went to turn into the road opposite and spun 360 degrees but luckily didn't hit anything...then another car passed..skidded and mounted the pavement...luckily no-one was standing there....and then a neighbour's car skidded and hit hubby's parked car....
I know we are probably luckier than a lot of people that day....at least we weren't in the car when it happened but the nightmare of sorting out the insurance and getting a hire car has only just begun.....

Anyway, on the upside, I seized the opportunity to do some card making on my day off (well come on you would wouldn't you? lol).
I just took out 2 floral stamps at random and this was what I came up with....

I used a Laura Ashley stamp and Stampendous "Grand Plume" to stamp the background and I used Adirondack dye inkpads in Bottle and Lettuce. The swirl is by Tim Holtz and the little frame is by Impression Obsession.

Well, I'm going to try and have a nice peaceful weekend, and do a little blog hopping to see what you've all been up to....

Whatever you do, stay safe....

Sorry to read about your Hubby's car Sarita but very glad that neither of you were in it or venturing out as it seems it was pretty bad in Kent! We had a fair bit here too and it's only just cleared today. Your card is breathtakingly beautiful, you have such style and talent! The colours and stamps you used are wonderful and I love the design. Catch you tomorrow on CC. Chris x
